Nepali Bloggers and Unification
bloggers.com.np:
Are you ready?
Yes, I am talking about saving efforts and energy+time for integration of Nepali Bloggers under one umbrella (Hey we are done with discussion of reviving BLOGAN, right?). In addition, I would like to suggest that there should be some kind of mechanism which penalizes copy and paste things. There are people who love to do copy and paste to produce "blog".
The importance of being organized comes here. One way of realizing it is to have an universal feed from Nepali Bloggers.
Is bloggers.com.np ready for it?
There is no doubt that it has a great collection of blog by Nepali people around the globe. As I indicated previously, many has gone for hibernation. It would be frustrating to find many links wasted to not find active Nepali Bloggers.
Based upon personal connections, we have nice hamro-circle[link] list of active nepali bloggers. Currently, we have a widget, and Email subscription to updated blogs through it.
Instead of having to go for different server, my question would be whether current blogger.com.np team would be interested in having such aggregation of rss and an universal feed (not hosted in personal server/not any other dot com / dot org or dot net server). I am talking about the Authenticity, Brand and Unification.
Note that experiment with hamro-circle proves that such aggregation is possible.
You can see an example here:
http://knuthlab.rit.albany.
(this is a temporary place for experiment)
What we need next is a server with python support. The software can be scheduled with cron job; this will enable gathering of all the feed as desired. We can also go ahead and work on having some nice gadget from the rss generated thereby ( I had created one... see here).
The beauty lies in the fact that it will be an open source project (more eyes on it), the in-active bloggers (enlisted) are pushed into the bottom. There would be no such thing as new and old blogger "discrimination", all get equal chance to get their post visible. Plus ability to deliver updated blog summary by Email (this help increases the visit to active blog). This may also be the motivational factor for many quality posts. Moreover, since this would be supplemented by the unified forum (Google group), we can bring justice to copy pasted items.
The idea is simple and easy. What we need is connection and commitment.
This is all possible with bloggers.com.np.
bloggers.com.np: Are you ready?
PS: based upon communications with Aakar, Nepalean G, Dilip G et. al. Views presented here may not be representative view of all quoted above. I will take any responsibility of any such discrepancy in interpretation.

Good thought Nabinjee! Lets see what bloggers.com.np has to say in this.
Definitely very very good thought Nabin Ji.... :)
I appreciate the enthusiasm and activities you have shown so far in bringing Nepalese bloggers at one platform. My best wishes are always with you.

* Slightly off-topic, I'm a bit disappointed by the activities (frequent irrelevant mails) of some of the members at Nepali Bloggers. personally, I don't see any positive impact of such groups in bringing the Nepalese bloggers together unless we change our actions.
why I wrote the above lines is because I do think that any forum should be for promoting quality write-ups in an impartial manner.
'Hamro circle' is good but how about reforming it a bit in a way to categorize the contents tentatively and displaying few entries from each category? just my thoughts.
** Sorry for writing a comment that might look beside the point of the focus of this post.
Its really an appreciable thought...mero blog ko spelling gufgaf ho dai...guffgaff hoina...he he
@Basanta G, and @Eternal G, Thank you for your kind notes.
@ Deependra Jee, I agree with your feelings. I have seen it in the forum that Some people just adds one line like "click on my link" or something like that. There has been some criticism by the members on the issue. I believe, the moderator has to set some ground rule there.
Moreover, it is a great idea that we can categorize them in tabs. Yes, with little bit of more work, we can.
@Prabesh, I will update the name... sorry for extra ff :)
Thank You!
Even more people are saying that only those blogs which are written in नेपाली are Nepali blogs n bloggers. Is this fair? I've been blogging for over 7 years by now, and well indexed in Bloggers.com.np.
The definition of NEPALI BLOGGERS should be made clear, so don't make it like संबिधान सभाको चुनाव .
It would be a very appreciable step to tie a knot for all the bloggers...It would help us boost the energy and unity of the bloggers. And Deependra ji, the same problem throws me off too; something must be done about it!
nabin jee, its good idea even we are trying to improve the site as you know its very easy to give idea and we have 100s of idea to improve the site but when it comes to real work nobody really cooperate with us. We think bloggers.com.np is equal property of all Nepalese Bloggers and we trust in teamwork.
Sometime even, we do not have time to update/add the blog link, as we all are busy in professional life but somehow we managed time to update the links once in a week.
If(anybody)you are technically sound and want to became part of bloggers team. Please contact us directly: info@bloggers.com.np
pls note: bloggers.com.np do not pay for it and the earnings of google ads donated to some organization of nepal.
@ Archana G, Thanks for the response as blogger.com.np team.
I can understand your frustration.
I have not only suggested idea, I have solid proof of the fact that it is possible to be done.
If you have 100s of ideas why not discuss among bloggers? They may have some feedback for improvements on ideas. Ideas evolve after discussions, it is not one man game.
No doubt, I have always appreciated the hardwork by the team.
